The most important, funded by the EU, basic research project in Algorithms and Complexity in Europe. The basic goals of the project are: the development of technologies and methods for the design of efficient algorithms for serial, parallel, and distributed computation, the distribution of correct, efficient and usable combinatorial software libraries for general applications, solutions in crucial algorithms and optimization problems occurring in specific application areas of the Information Technology, considering the performance criterion, and the development of applications for the industry and other domains.
